Alloy 410 stainless steel plate is the general purpose 12% chromium martensitic stainless steel that can be heat treated to obtain a wide range of mechanical properties. 410 stainless steel plate possesses high strength and hardness coupled with good corrosion resistance.420 stainless steel is a martensitic higher carbon version of types 410 and 416 stainless that can be hardened by heat treatment. It contains a minimum of 12 percent chromium, sufficient to give 420 corrosion resistance properties.Grade 430 is a ferritic, straight chromium, non-hardenable grade, combining good corrosion resistance and formability characteristics with useful mechanical properties.
